Resident Evil 3 takes place in September 1998, during the catastrophic T-Virus outbreak that turns Raccoon City into a zombie-infested nightmare. The story follows Jill Valentine, a former S.T.A.R.S. officer, as she desperately tries to escape the city while being hunted by Nemesis, a powerful bioweapon.

Act 1: The Nightmare Begins

The game begins with Jill Valentine experiencing terrifying hallucinations caused by the stress of the outbreak. As she prepares to escape, Nemesis suddenly bursts into her apartment and relentlessly pursues her through the city.

Jill barely escapes, but the city is completely overrun with zombies.
She meets Carlos Oliveira, a mercenary working for Umbrella's Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.C.S.).
Carlos’ team was sent to rescue survivors, but most of them have already been wiped out.

As Jill and Carlos fight through the streets, Nemesis keeps hunting Jill, mutating and becoming even deadlier.

Act 2: The Search for a Vaccine

Jill and Carlos learn that a vaccine for the T-Virus exists in a laboratory beneath Raccoon City Hospital. While searching for it:

Carlos fights off waves of zombies in the hospital.
He finds a vaccine sample and saves Jill, who was infected by Nemesis during an earlier fight.
Meanwhile, Nemesis mutates into an even more monstrous form, making him even harder to defeat.

Act 3: Escape & Final Battle

As the U.S. government prepares to nuke Raccoon City to contain the outbreak, Jill and Carlos must escape before time runs out.

Jill confronts Nemesis one last time inside Umbrella’s underground NEST 2 laboratory.
Using a railgun, she obliterates Nemesis’ final monstrous form.
Carlos stops Nicholai Ginovaef, a corrupt Umbrella agent who tried to betray them.

In the final moments, Jill and Carlos escape by helicopter as Raccoon City is completely destroyed by a nuclear strike.

Tips and Tricks Play Games Resident Evil 3

1. Perfect Your Dodge (Most Important Skill!)

Press R1 (PlayStation) / RB (Xbox) / Space (PC) just before an enemy attacks to perform a perfect dodge.
A successful perfect dodge slows down time, letting you counterattack instantly.
Practice this! It’s essential for surviving Nemesis chases and zombie swarms.

2. Conserve Ammo – Aim for Weak Spots

Headshots are great but not always reliable – zombies still get up after multiple shots.
Shoot legs to knock down zombies and knife them while they’re down to save bullets.
Use Shotguns for crowds, especially when zombies are lined up in hallways.

3. Don’t Waste Ammo on Nemesis (Most of the Time)

Running is usually better than fighting! Nemesis is extremely durable, and fighting him drains ammo.
Only engage him when you can knock him down for rewards (see next tip).

4. Knock Down Nemesis for Supply Drops

If you stagger Nemesis in the early game, he drops weapon upgrades or ammo.
Use hand grenades or explosive barrels to take him down temporarily.
Later in the game, it’s better to run since he becomes harder to stun.

5. Lure Zombies Into Explosive Barrels & Generators

Red barrels = Big explosion (kills multiple zombies instantly).
Electrical generators = Stuns zombies and Nemesis for an easy escape.

Inventory & Resource Management

6. Save Your Gunpowder for Shotgun & Magnum Ammo

Handgun bullets are common, so don’t waste gunpowder making them.
Prioritize Shotgun Shells & Magnum Rounds for tough enemies and bosses.

7. Herbs & Healing Mix Wisely

Green Herb = Small health recovery.
Green + Red Herb = Full health recovery (best combo).
Green + Blue Herb = Health + Poison cure (not very useful in RE3).
Green + Red + Blue Herb = Full heal + temporary defense boost.

8. Always Keep a Knife in Your Inventory

The knife in RE3 Remake does not break like in RE2 Remake!

11. You Can’t Kill Him – Just Escape!

Nemesis is invincible in most encounters.
Run, dodge, and use the environment (explosives, doors, etc.) to avoid damage.
If cornered, use a Flash Grenade or shotgun blast to stun him and escape.

12. Don’t Waste Too Much Ammo on Nemesis Boss Fights

Explosive Rounds & Magnum Shots are the best weapons against Nemesis.
Save your strongest ammo for the final battles.

Boss Fight Strategies

13. First Nemesis Boss Fight (Flamethrower Form)

Use cover to dodge his flamethrower.
Shoot the fuel tank on his back to weaken him.
When he drops the flamethrower, keep attacking to finish him off.

14. Second Nemesis Boss Fight (Mutated Form)

Use the environment (electrical boxes & explosives) to stun him.
Keep dodging his fast lunges—stay on the move!
Magnum & Shotgun work best here.

15. Final Nemesis Boss Fight (Giant Monster Form)

Use the Railgun when it’s charged – dodge and stun him to reload it.
Magnum & Grenade Launcher for extra damage.
Keep moving to avoid getting trapped in corners.

Extra Tips for Hardcore & Nightmare Mode

16. Limited Saves? Save Wisely

Save before boss fights & major Nemesis encounters.
If playing on Hardcore or Nightmare difficulty, use Typewriters carefully to avoid losing progress.

17. Prioritize Weapon Upgrades

Collect Nemesis supply drops for extra weapon attachments (like extended magazines and scopes).
These make a huge difference in higher difficulties.

18. Unlock Infinite Ammo Weapons in Future Playthroughs

Beating the game fast with an S-rank unlocks Infinite Ammo weapons.
These make Hardcore & Nightmare mode MUCH easier.
